Default Austin, Texas Newbie!

Hello All! This seems like a nice group of folks exchanging info. I've got an '01 4wd w/about 230K miles. Bought it at 170K and it has been great, very little gone wrong-really only normal maintenance stuff. I use it as a daily driver to work and to commute/4WD at a nearby deer lease. I have one question about oil changes. Though the manual says 5.2 qts w/a new oil filter, I've found it takes closer to 6.5 to get its dipstick to the full (upper mark). Anyone else notice this?

Default Just re-checked how much oil I need to add to a 3.4

toyota v6, it is taking 6.75 quarts to reach the upper full mark on dipstick! Non-stock oil pan or wrong dipstick?? Looks original though. Hmmm...
