I'll keep this simple. I do not own a 4runner.....yet. Hopefully soon that will change. I've been shopping around for a new car, and I'm never buying another US made car again. The last 3 1/2 years I've been driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE sedan, and the other day on my drive home, I was in a near collision with a big rig. This huge 18 wheeler pulled out of a parking lot right in front of me and was turning against traffic. To make a long story short, I almost went right under the thing. After spinning out of control on the wet pavement and bouncing off the median, I made the decision thatI was getting a truck or SUV. (I feel 10000000x safer in my mom's Denali than in my little car.)</P> My choices were 00-02 Chevy Suburban/GMC Yukon XL, 00-02 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra, or a 96-99 Toyota 4Runner LTD.</P> I debated whether or not the chevy/gmc trucks/suvswould be cost effective in the long run, and in the end, I decided that the only logical course of action was to get a 4Runner.(Sexy looks, resale, TRD upgrades, build quality, and safety.)</P> In the next few weeks I'm hitting the local Toyota dealers, so if there's anything anyone here can tell me that they think I need to know before purchasing one, please, I'd appreciate it.</P> Thanks again,</P> Sam</P><edited><editID>Rainier</editID><editDate>38237.9778935185</editDate></edited> |
