First Time 4Runner Owner

My name is Greg, and I recently purchased my first Toyota....a 2003 4Runner sport edition V8. My friend has a 98' 4runner with 255K miles and he has never had a problem with it. We are both storm chasers, and I was ready to get a new chase vehicle. He sold me on getting a 4ruuner. I joined this forum to learn more about 4runners and get info on customizing and upgrades. This 03 I have is the sweetest ride I have owned to date.

I just bought my 6th 4Runner and by far the best one I've had. I just traded in a '94 4Runner with 233,000 miles for a 1997 4Runner with just 66,000 miles, a 3.4 V6, 5 speed, and Toyota installed locker. The difference in refinement between the 3.0 V6 and 3.4 V6 is like night and day. Can't believe how smooth it is. Can't wait to go on the trail.
