H2/H4 on '06 4runner
 

I have dumb question for the list (sorry, I'm a rookie, just got my 4runner a week ago)... I used my new 4runner in H4 in the snow/ice the other day - got home in driveway, parked it and switched back to H2 - the four wheel drive light flashed for a while, I waited a few minutes, but didn't stop flashing. I turned off the car.

Later I looked in owners manual, and it says if it doesn't stop blinking like that, it means that it wasn't done "transfering back to H2" and to drive forward or backward and the light should go out. Did I do any kind of damage by just turning off the car while it was still blinking?

This morning, turned on car, was still blinking, but after I pulled out of driveway, it went off right away. Everything seems to fine, but just wanted to make sure I didn't screw anything up with the four-wheel drive? Sorry, guess I'm just a worrier, but wanted to get your thoughts?

it sounds like it fixed itself...i would keep an eye on it, maybe try it in 4wd around your house...
