Help with 86 4runner
 

I just bought an 86 4runner for 800 from my dads friend and I was wondering what exterior things I could do to make it look better. Im taking off my rear bumper and looking for some kind of bikini top. I was also wondering about cheap ways to get some lift? Thnx.

Lets see, the 86 is the last year of the live axle front end, correct? I'd say the cheapest way to get lift would be lift blocks. Just don't stack them!

As far as exterior stuff (and lift stuff, too) goes, check out the NWOR (North West Off Road) website. They are a Toyota truck/4Rnr specialty shop in Washington state.

I hope you are going to replace that rear bumper with something better, like a Smiitybilt or a railroad tie if you could find one cheap. That gen 4Runner has extremely weak bumpers to begin with, its easy to get your truck totalled even with the bumper on. I'd hate like heck to get rear ended w/o a bumper.

I've had my rear bumper off for uhh since it fell off lol. I got rear ended and the idiot hit my tires, not the truck[:'(]

Thnx, and ya im planning on getting rid of my rear bumper and getting a new one since the one on there right now is bent to ****. Also i bought some lites and put them on the front bumper. Planning on getting some kind of rack for more lights on top.
