New 4Runner, new fan
I just bought a '96 SR5 4x4 with a 5-speed manual in anthracite metallic and I'm already in love. It took some serious looking to find a manual transmission here in Los Angeles where the majority of the population just looks at sticks in bewilderment, but it's well worth it. I can go wherever I want now and yet am still quicker than most cars on the road thanks both to the nice acceleration of the stock 4Runner and the fact everyone else on the road is driving an automatic. Right now my vehicle is bone stock, and my ambitions for the short term are fairly mild-just some high-performance shocks to replace the worn factory originals, some NGK plugs and maybe Taylor plug wires, and a K&N FIPK. I just want a little extra juice and some fuel economy love for now, but in due time this baby will get hooked up.
