New to the 4runner and Toyota
 

Hello, our names are Snow and Anton and we are looking at purchasing a 4runner. We were just involved in an accident while on vacation in Iowa and totaled our 2004 Nissan Xterra. While we like the Xterra we think the 4runner has more room for us and our 2 dogs. We looked a couple new ones. One at the auto show and one at the dealer. We want a 4x4 and saw the Trail edition and aren't sure if we should save for that or would a sr5 4x4 be fine. We aren't sure what year. Which is better 4th or 5th gen's? We looked at 2010 Trail but read in Consumer Reports you should buy the rediesigned years model. Is this true? Which 4runner do you think would fit us? We like to and sometimes do go off road but I don't think we'd be going extreme 4x4ing. We love camping (sleeping in the back) but we are looking to get a small travel trailer, hunting, fishing, taking our dog with us everywhere and their activities, getting out on the beatten path. Do you think the Trail would be too muich or would an sr5 be just fine? Any feedback would be great. Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing any and all responces. Snow & Anton
