Toyota Prius or Hyundai 2010 Genises Coupe?

I have only a bit experience buying cars. Now, I have to buy a car for my son, he wants some fashion one but I like all the safety features and long warranty probably would last him through college.

These two suppliers are in my list, one is Eastern Shore Toyota, the other is Hyundai of Daphne, there are many models, but I need someone to give me some suggestions.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! This is really a big purchase for me, I'd like to choose $10,000 around. Thank you all.

Go with the Prius. Awesome Gas Mileage and solid build. The Genises coupe is considered a sports car. Comes with ether a 2.0T (Turbocharged) or a V6 engine. Both have options of a track package. Both are quick. Too quick for a first car, IMO.

Motor Trend compared the Genesis with the new Camaro. This is a totally different class of car than the conservative gas sipping Prius.

You don't say how old your son is, but I suspect that you don't want to buy him a hotrod to destroy in the next few years. If you are looking at safety first, you probably already know that mixing young men with sports cars is a dangerous combination.

I won't make a suggestion, but I thought you should be aware that these two cars are not anywhere near the same class.
