Default bf goodrich at’s

i just purchased a set of 265x70x16 bf goodrich all terrains, and they are sweet. the tread cut on the edges are fairly agressive, and they ride super smooth for an at tire. the speed rating on them are listed at 90, but i usually never go that fast anyways. the only thing that sucked was the price: about $165 a piece. there aremt's that cost less, but i use my ride for work andpleasure, so i couldn't afford to be replacing mt's every year.i had a set of bfg rugged trails before that, that lasted forever. does anyone know how long i can expect the bfgat'sto last? i know that at's and especially mt's have a fairly short mileagespan.

Hm... I had always assumed that A/T tires were fairly hard compounds to endure both street and offroad wear, whereas an M/T tire is softer for maximum traction off road. I would expect a pretty fair lifespan. At LEAST a good number of years depending on your average annual miles traveled. I'll look into it.

i used to work at a shop that sold the ATs and MTs, and i never had a complaint about them, other than the tires "singing" on the highway

I had a set of BFG A/T's on my '98 Tacoma and M/T's on my '02 Tacoma. The A/T's definitely lasted longer. They ran about 30-40k miles, where the M/T's lasted about 20k and before showing pretty good wear. They both hooked up great. The A/T's were awesome on and off-road. If you haven't owned them before, you'll love them. The '01 4Runner that we own now is soon to get a nice new set of shoes!! I'll definitely go with BFG A/T's. The only thing I don't care for is the price on a 16"... ouch.

Enjoy!!

Great tires. I ran em for the last 80k miles on one of my explorers. If your alignment and suspension is fine(eg balljoints) they will last as long as some all season tires.

They do sing. Rotate them every 5k for best wear and keep your suspension and alignment in check and you will be happy with them.

They are the first thing going on my new 4runner.

Agreed......

Hmmm. No BFG AT KO's in a 265/65/17?

I didn't see them either in a 265/70/16.... Am I blind?

The 4runner is coming with the 265/65/17s

I actually prefered the 16" wheels for future tire prices and more meat between the rim and ground but got the right price on a black one with 17" wheels.

You will be very happy with the BF ko's, you should get at least 70-80 k on them. Just remeber to rotate at least every 6-8 k. I just got rid of mine at 72k with at least 8 to 10/32 left. Just remember they slick over real quick in the mud.

I'm very impressed with my KO's I'm running 32 by 11.5s and I actually thought think clean out fairly well in the mud, at least compared to the last set of tires I had.
Anywy, Not a complaint here.

I just ordered a set of 31x10.5x15 BFG AT KO's. I got a great deal on them from Tiresdirect.com only $120 a piece no shipping and no tax. $480 total. I hope they dont sing too loud or else I will have them up for sale next week. I just bought this truck for $2500 95 SR5 at with 143k mileage. Good condition very clean. it has michelin 31's on it now but two front ones are worn out.

I was really wanting the BFG's but because I have the 17" wheel I didn't want to part with the $185 for a tire. I opted for the Bridgestone duellers and so far I am very happy with them. They performed very well in the mud and very little road noise. The tire salesman said they both will get around the same mileage 55,000 - 60,000 depending on use and abuse
