How much for the oem 16" wheels?
Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out how much Toyota sells the oem 16" wheels for. I have the 17"rims.
I would like to have the 16's for lower tire prices, extra meat between the rim and suface, and more options for tires as well. Is there a bfg at/ko that fits on a stock 2005 4runner with 17" wheels with no rubbing at all? |

I've got an SR5 with the 16" and am looking for the 17" sport edition wheels in good condition. Wanna trade plus you get cash back?

what are nuts to trade 17 fro 16 ??? on the 17 the ride is firmer and not squeshy and it looks a lot nicer also. 16 rims are for true mountain off roads, not potholes.

RE: How much for the oem 16" wheels?
I thought I heard that the vehicles that were equipped with the 17" wheels could not take the 16" due to the disc brakes being larger and would hit inside the wheel. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

they do make the 265/70/R17 in the BFG ko. I think they are right around $185 here in vegas (without tax)

RE: How much for the oem 16" wheels?
Folks, without knowing what cars you own. I found this out from my local toyota service advisor.
The current 2006/07 model 4Runner ships with 3 sizes of rims. The SR5 ships with 16's, the Sport ships with 17's and the Limited ships with 18's. The SR5 has small disc brakes, the Sport has larger disc brakes and so needs the 17' rims and the Limited has the same brakes as the sport. So the Limted can also take 17' rims. That means that both the Sport and the Limited must have at least 17' rims to clear the brake components. hope that helps Joe |
