New tires

Hello - I have a Limited 2008 and I want to put after-market wheels on...any suggestions on sizes? I don't want a low-profile set up, but bigger then stock. Worried that it will effect the performance. Thoughts? Had a terrible experience with a previous SUV. :confused:
