I bought a set of rims from a '98 4Runner for my '06 4Runner. The information I have through the net suggests they should have worked (16 x 7, medium offset). The '06 Manual specifies the Toyota number for the rims should be 16 X 7 JJ. That is the number stamped on the '98 rims. Now the problem. The '98 rims do not clear the calipers on the front wheels. What is the explanation?A tire shop measured both rims and said the offset is the same.Is there a solution? Unfortunately I can't return the rims as it was a private purchase.
