Default Remote Starters

Does anybody know of a good remote starter for a 00 4runner? I have had acouple and i didn't really like them (starter would spin to long), (It would try to start it twice). The tach wire was installed . I notice the problem mostly happened when it is cold outside (-4c or 28f) I want to get my dad this for Christmas for his baby so if anything goes wrong I'm in the doghouse. Thanks guys.

I have a Coolstart in my '05 and have never had any issues with it in the 4 years I've had it installed. I don't know which model, it was a Christmas gift and was installed after owning the car for 4 days. Good luck.

I was toying with the thought of having a remote starter installed on my 03 Sport Edition V-8.

What are the drawbacks to this? Id always be afraid of hittin the button by accident and then doing wear n tear on the engine.

On my remote I have to hold the button down for 2 seconds for it to engage. And it will only run for 15 minutes before it shuts off.
