Alright I've owned the 4runner for a couple years now and have had no major problems until now. It's a 99 model with the 5vz-fe engine in it. I was driving down the road and i let off of the gas and it began to stall. So i stepped on it again and it was fine. Kept going just kinda wondering what happened, so i let off again to see what would happen and it did stall out... so pulled off and got it started again after quite a bit of cranking and it started and sounded like the knock you would get out of a cold diesel engine after you first start it.( upper end probably) Repeated that process a couple of times, and gave up because i didn't want to do anymore damage. I really don't know what to think on this one I need some help!!!
