Unhappy Downhill Assist Control for 2012 4Runner Sr5

Hi Everyone - I have bought a brand new 2012 4Runner Sr5 and am having some problems getting DAC working. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Could someone step by step tell me the steps to get DAC to work? I had thought all I had to do was push the DAC button as I was going down hill...however, it doesn't seem to do anything when i do it... It lights up and shows the car going down hill, but other than that just feels like normal going down a hill......Any help would be GREAT.

Default Dac

Same story for me. A new 2012 SR5 4X4. You are supposed to be in 4 Low range first. The turn on DAC. Mine appeared to work but sure makes a TON of noise, doesn't sound real good. It's for below 15mph and is supposed to keep you at about 3 mph when going down hill. The book also says for best results, with an automatic transmission is use sequential shift in 1 or 2.

I found that just being in 4 low, and using sequential shift on my automatic, I can go down quite steep slopes without ever using brakes.

Any one else have any comments on this?
