I have a 1998 limited that is having some tailgate issues. The window still works just fine and the tailgate does open, but only if I put a lot of pressure on the tailgate first. I have to push in at the base of the tailgate for the latch to release. If I don't do that, the handle pulls up but the latch will not let go. Is there something that I need to adjust or will I need to replace the latch mechanism entirely?
