Default 2002 Question

At what interval should I have the timing belt replaced on my 2002 4-runner? Also, what should I expect to pay at the dealer to have this done along with the drive belts? Anything else I should have done? Would I be better off on trying to find a local shop rather than the dealer? Thanks!!

Default RE: 2002 Question

before 100,000 miles and the water pump is a good idea to change too.

Dealer if you always go to the dealer.

Local shop if you always go to local shops.

I only stay with a dealer during warantee times since the car will be worth more. After that its local shop time.
