When under intense braking (sudden) or when I have rolled over a big bump (road) during hard braking, I have experienced sudden and VERY intense "grabbing". No, this is not the normal antilock mechanism feel...it then goes instantly to the "grab" when I even touuch the brake again until I have driven for a few miles...then it "calms down". Very wierd...it freaks ya out...that's how severe it feels. Big-time grab, then release, the grab...and touchy until a few miles at slowwww braking.

Anyone hear of anything like this? I have owned 3 4RFunners over the years and 4 Landcruisers...never had anything like this (of course in the FJ40, I had to put my feet through the floor and drag them to stop)...

any ABS light on the dash? have you had any prior braking work, or problems?
