I have a 91 4Runner that is experiencing electrical problems. While running, the lights for the break, battery and A/T oil temp come on intermittently. While this only appears to be a minor inconvenience, on several occasions the engine has stopped as if the battery is dead. A quick charge will get the battery up to power and the 4Runner is off and running again. Has anyone else had this experience and is there a solution?

 

Just an update, the dash lights coming on apparently indicate a problem with the alternator. While the alternator is showing a charge, replacing the alternator has eliminated the problem.
