I am looking at a 95 4 runner. 2.4 L 5 spd. to purchase for a hunting vehicle.
This vehicle has no power until 3300-3500 rpm..then it takes off and runs like it should.

No matter the gear you have it in...it falls on its face until it hits around 3500 rpm. Then it just takes off and has good power.

It would remind someone of hitting the powerband on a dirtbike.

Check engine light is on and it does have an exhaust leak.

Is the problem the mass air flow? Or is it the exhaust.
