Default 95 SR5 with a few problems

Hello,

I am new to this site and just recently bought a 95 4runner that i thought was a good deal and im experiencing a few problems that i cant figure out. My biggest problem is when am driving and i reach about 50 MPH and release my foot off the gas the car makes a loud vibrating noise. I know its not the ujoints because i just replaced the two in the rear drive shaftand i am waiting for afront drive shaft and the old one is out right now and it still makes the noise. Also when igoabout 60 mph the car starts toshake. I figured i will go get the wheels balanced and see if that helps. Ifanyonehas experienced thisproblem before orhas any idea what it mighti would really apreciate some help.

My other problem iam having is when i decelerate and i reach around thirty there is a kinda knocking noise(kinda like plastic on plastic coming from either in my dash or by all thevac lines directly by the passenger side in the engine compartment.Andjust this morning i started hearing a grinding noise which seemed to be coming from my cluster whenaccelerate and deccelerate.

Thank you for any help.

I wanted to add that the vibration when i decelerate feels like the car is downshifting into a lower gear if that makes any sense

SOOOOO many things can be the issue. Tires/wheels out of balance, alignment off, hub problems, driveshaft balance, bent axle etc...

I would say do the tires/wheels and alignment first. Also check your fluids diff and tranny.

Could even be engine problems or tranny problems since when you go off throttle it happens.

Well it could be in the egine i just replaced the water pump head gaskets, timing belt... etc. I suppose coolant could have leaked into the tranny. Ill have to check the fluid and possibly flush it.
