I am new here and want to thank your for a great site.

My wife drives a 99 Toyota 4 Runner (2wd) and I bought the front brake pads and rear brake shoes to do a brake job last weekend. Got the fronts done - no problem. I could not get the rear drums off to do the backs. Are there any special tricks to getting the rear drums off?

This is the first brake job that this truck has had.

Thanks

Makre sure the emergency brake is off. After that. Try heating them up a bit before doing it. Probably have some dust build up that is making it difficult.
