Default ecu bad?

PLEASE HELP !!! my 2001 4runner runs but won't engage when in gear or accelerate.. it's an automatic ... original problem was when my new battery was installed the battery was connected backwards (negative was connected to postive and posite to negative in error.. IT WASN"T me who did that!!! anyhow a spark happened and 120 amp alternator fuse and a couple other fuses had blown and since have been replaced.. now the problem lies in is it my ECU or something else as to why my car won't accelerate

Default RE: ecu bad?

hummm I dont think it would be the ECU. If wires did cross the ECU is pretty far down the chain to get messed up. Hard to say would have to look at it. Possible that vaccum lines were unplugged during some repair?

Of just the battery was installed wrong and then exactly what took place?
