I have just boughten my first 4-Runner 1994, and have been having this one problem. 60% of the times that I stop at a signal light the RPM will go really low causing the 4-Rnner to run rough (like its going to die) and then in about a minute it will go back up to around 900 RPM...Is there a sensor or something that would or might cause this???? Please help if u can.

 

try looking for cracks in any air hoses u may have an air leak.

 

I have a 93 4 runner with 3.0 i have the same problem but i smell gas after driving a while

 

Hoping for an answer to this as well -- I have a '99 4Runner with approx. 112K miles. I am experiencing the exact same issue (although the issue isn't happening as frequently with my rig as it is with RadRon's).
