My key won't turn the ignition anymore. I used the spare key (which has only been used a few times) and had no luck either.

Does the ignition have a chip (key) and sensor (ignition switch) that may have failed not allowing me to turn the key?

Is this a known problem? any suggestions on how I might fix this? replace the ignition core....

More info. Year/make/model

if you have a 1988 I will say you need a ignition core, but if you have like a 2005-up I would say get the key checked and the sensor itself.
