Default Loud upper valvetrain clicking

Well I am a new 4runner owner. I have a 91 4x4, 3.0, auto with 191K miles. I bought this as a project. It has not run in 6 weeks according to the original owner. I did some trouble shooting and think that it is the igniter. I also found another problem. There is a loud upper valvetrain clicking/knocking coming from the drivers side back of the motor when i crank the motor. Looks like someone replaced both heads and possible timing belt???? but i am not sure. The heads look new. I am thinking that i will pull the valve covers off and start looking? Anyone have any ideas.

Chris
