I'm new and this is my first post. Hopefully this wasn't discussed before. Ihave always wanted a 4Runner but never got one due to the fact that the manual transmission was discontinued on the 4Runner. Ithink the Tacoma uses the same engine as the 4Runner and comes with a 6spd manual. Do you think it's actually possible to do the swap? I'm just curious. I doubt I'd ever do it cause I don't think I'm willing to let anyone tear apart a brand new car to do this, but I was just curious as to whether it can be done or not.

I've heard of a tranny swap being done on the previous versions of Land Cruisers, but not on 4Runners. Can't think of why it couldn't, everytime someone says something can't be done, someone else comes in and says "Well, this is how I did it,". Be interested in what people have to say about this.
