I have a 2011 SR5 4ruuner. I have a problem with the rear door which just started recently.
The rear door closes tight. The rear window defroster will not turn on; the rear window wiper will not turn on. Since there are two separate things that don't work, I assume the problem is the switch for the rear door. The switch is not reporting the door closed.
Where is the rear door switch and can it be replaced? Or is the switch not the problem?

 

I believe the problem is solved. The rear window was not closed all the way. Now the defroster works.
