I have a 94 4runner. The speedometer has stopped working entirely. It worked off an on for a while, and has now just cut out completely. Also, sometimes when I drive I either lose all power, or can't shift out of first, and the speedometer starts jumping all over the place. Has anyone had this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it. I would like to try to fix it myself, but the book is not very helpful in diagnosing the problem.

 

Good question. My girl has a 93 v6 with identical issues. Please tell me you know now what the problem was.
