Angry Terrible brake noise

My 05 4runner recently makes a terrible brake noise, like some metal is broken or snapped. It happens sometimes when I press the brake pedal hard while driving, or when I loose the brake pedal while backing up. The noise lasts less than 1 second.

Also, similar noise happens when I full turn the steering wheel while parking.

Other than the noise, the vehicle drives okay. Any clue? Thanks a lot!

Since your truck is 5 years old I would think the brakes have been changed before..? Maybe your new aftermarket pads are made of a different material and they don't mesh well with your rotors. Check the rotors and see how bad the grooving is. Some grooves are okay but if it's deep and rough, that's not good.
