Sometimes the last thing you want to do after a bike ride is lift your bike any higher than you have to. Fitting it into a car or putting it on the roof is a challenge nobody likes to confront. And this is the moment when Bike Racks rush to the rescue! A proper bike rack will make going for a bike a pleasure instead of a chore. Keep you interior cleaner, too, without dusty, muddy bikes inside.

If you have spare tire, Yakima® - SpareTime Spare Tire Bike Rack is a great option for your ride! The SpareTime fits most lug patterns and tires from P195 to 12.5" wide, and can carry up to two 35 lb. bikes safely and securely. It includes anti-sway cradles to prevent bike-to-bike contact and the rack can be locked to the vehicle and the bikes locked to the rack, locks and keys included. http://www.carid.com/yakima/sparetim...n-8002598.html

If you have a hitch, Universal Hitch Mounted Bike Rack by CURT® was made for you. It is designed to attach to your vehicle's receiver hitch, in a variety of styles to carry bikes. Pinned or locked to the rear of the vehicle, it will keep your bike safe and easy to access. Also it can be painted in custom colors to match your vehicle and create the ultimate towing package. http://www.carid.com/curt/curt-bike-racks-2155038.html

Enjoy your biking at full speed!

In your selection for a 4runner bike rack, you need to consider vehicle compatibility, bike compatibility, and rack features you need. In-vehicle compatibility you need to consider if the rack would fit your trunk, hitch receiver, roof rail, or even spare tire depending on the type of bike rack you go for. For instance, if you go for a 4runner hitch bike rack, you need to know if it’s compatible with the hitch receiver you have on the vehicle. Similarly in the case of the 4runner bike roof rack you need to ensure that the roof rails allow you the specific roof rack you have shortlisted.

Once you know the compatible racks then you can move forward into shortlisting further based on the biking compatibility. Certain bike racks would not accommodate women’s and kid’s bikes while some might not work for e-MTBs.

Finally after figuring out compatibilities between the rack, vehicle, and bike you can move on to other factors such as the brand, features, aesthetics, capacity, and prices of the 4runner bike racks. To support you with the research, we have done most of these steps for your Toyota 4runner for you –
