Hello guys and gals,

My name is Dave and i just bought a 1998 4runner SR5. I found it on craigslist, it was in good shape and it fit the criteria of what i was looking for.

what i got:
1998 SR5 4x4
white
3.4L V6
5-speed manual trans.
comes with almost 190k miles

I've only had it a few days and havn't had a chance yet to get a good look at everything, but i plan on getting the oil changed ASAP; then looking for any weak points. I don't know the history of this car so i was hopeing that some of you might tell me what to look into so that i don't have anything breaking or failing on me due to neglect by a preivous owner.

Welcome I am also a new member and a new Toyota 4Runner owner 08 2wd SR5. Love it already traded off a worthless 03 Sorento 4wd on the new 4Runner. Let us read what you do with yours.
