It looks like our beloved workhorse 2000 4Runner gave it's life to protect myself and my wife last Saturday while on vacation in Northern Idaho. We slid off an icy road onto the roof, and the vehicle did suffer structural damage to the passenger side and roof/windshield. It looks like a total loss at this point, and I'll know for sure very soon. The good news is that the 4Runner did it's job wonderfully protecting us from serious injury, and was fully insured. My wife and I will be looking to replace it with a 2003+ 4Runner, and I joined this site to do some research on those models. Anyway, I look forward to learning more about the 4th generation 4Runners while here, and thanks for having me.
