New Offroad/Everyday Driving Tires
Hey Guys, I'm looking to get some new tires for the 4runner I just bought, which is a 1998. The tires on the vehicle now are pretty worn down , but within the next couple of weeks I plan on shelling out the dough for a new set of tires since the ones now are pretty old. The problem lies in the fact that I want to offroad on the weekends but I need to drive to work during the week and I don't have the cash to have 2 sets of tires. I just wanted to know if anyone has this same problem and if anyone could recommend their choice. I've looked through a couple of posts about new tires and what not, but I just wanted to have some input custom fit to my situation and vehicle. Thanks for anyhelp whatsoever and I appreciate your experience.

RE: New Offroad/Everyday Driving Tires
Well I have the bridgestone Duellers and am very happy with them. I spend most of the time on the road with them but on weekends I do go offroad and they have had no problems. They worked really well in sticky mud and they grip pretty good in loose shale climbing hills as well as in the sand. They are rated for 55,000 mile. I purchased mine at Sam's Club and walked out mounted and balanced for right under $600.00

i have the same problem
right now i have 30 inch wild country radial xrt II
they are okay but im looking for cheap mud terrains or pretty aggressive all terrains
what would be a good compromise as far as price goes, i dont care about road noise

RE: New Offroad/Everyday Driving Tires
Im running the Firestone Destination MTs (285s) this is my second set, the first set I got 50K miles out of them and still have about 5K miles left, just replaced them cause I got a new set of wheels and wanted the tires on the new wheels..
Im VERY happy with these both on and off road, well happy enough to get another set
