In the process of adding some serious trail-running power to my latest 4Runner! Wish me luck--this is my first non-standard engine swap (yikes!). Read more ยป

Completed installation, dressed stock so it looks like it's supposed to be there.

Truck with the (unwanted) body lift (for distributor and header clearance). Doesn't look as ridiculous as I thought it would, but I still don't like it being that tall--have to be more careful on sidehills and obstacles. Still should be a heck of a lot of fun. Exhaust is purely temporary until I can get it to a shop for the real thing.

One of the places I intend to use my "goat"--Moab, UT. That's my other current 4Runner, still stock (you can tell by the infamous squatting rear end!).

Engine mounted up--still needing the last few adjustments. Using a Howell Eng. Dev. wiring harness to hook up everything. Advance Adapters connects the Yota 5-spd.

The 350 ready for installation. Given the tight quarters, it was easier to bolt up everything outside the vehicle. It's a bone-stock, truck-tuned throttle body engine, freshly rebuilt.

Before the engine swap begins--currently with the wimpy 3.0 V6 with a blown head gasket.
