Hi All,

I have a 1996 4 runner limited edition 4WD.

I was driving it at 65mph in 2WD mode, and accidentally pushed transfer case shifter from H to N. The car went into neutral and I had to tow the car back home.

Now, the car is in neutral no matter what shift is in. I have read and tried everything that I could for a week.

Before I remove transfer case, I hope some one has a solution.

It sounds like you might a hydraulic pressure problem. Where in the OC are you located?

Thanks for all your help. The problem was roller pin holds the 4WD shifter to the shifter rod together dropped into transfer-case. That caused 4wd shifter not shifting the gears.
