Default 1997 4runner 4x4 gutless?

Hello,

I have a 1997 4x4 SR5. It has a gutless V6. Mechanics tell me that is normal for the 4x4? What can I do to get more power? I have custom exhaust/KN filter, Icon lift kit, and Motto rims.

Take a look here.

Add a new intake, exhaust and invest an ECU. ECU is basically the brains of your car and an give you greater power. If you are looking for a more significant increase in hp, look into forced induction.
