Hello,

I have a 2nd generation 1995/6RHD UK Spec 4Runner. I'd like to fit a swing-out wheel carrier to the back of it and have managed to get hold of one, plus the modified tailgate, from a Hilux Surf. I've stripped the interior trim off today to see if I can get at the places where the bolts go through for the swing-out carrier, but there's some sort of reinforcing plate obscuring the whole area.

Is it actually possible to fit this wheel-carrier? I'm beginning to think not...
