Default back window controls

I have a 1987 runner

I think my back window is possessed.

The inside button to my back window will only roll up. So to roll it down I have to use the key. Do you think this is a short?

Another question, my license plate lights wont work either, we replace the bulbs and checked the fuses.

And one more thing anyone have interior lights in the back of the runner, I think I found where one used to be on the right back side in the cargo area, anyone know?

the interior light is on the left side usually around the panel where the rear washer fluid container is and the jack, and it can be operated from either the from dash down by the hood release or the switch on the light.

if the window will go up and down with the key and not the switch then there is an electrical issue somewhere and is likely in the switch. they are easy to replace

good luck sweetieshz
