Default starting problem

Hi, I have a 2000 4Runner LTD and my problem is that everytime I start my truck I have to apply gas on it, for it to start. Engine light is not on. The other thing is that it will start cold (early in the morning, since I go to work at 7am) but will not start in the afternoon, unless I apply gas/accelerate. What do you guys think is the problem?

Chris

How long has it been since you have changed the fuel filter?
Or Ran a bottle of injector cleaner through it. (via fuel tank)?
