ok, so i'm new here but i joined hoping you guys could help. I got a 94 sr5 4runner and it's got a crap load of miles around 225,000 or so. anyhow, the other day i was on my way home from work cruising on the interstate and all of a sudden the car shut off. so i managed to get to the shoulder safely and got out popped the hood and thought it might have been the battery cables. jiggled them around and fired right up. got home and waited til the next day and couldn't figure nothing out. tried to drive to work but got to the end of my road and it started surging. what i mean is the dash started pulsing the battery gauge jumped up and down and i had to put it in neutral to give it gas but before i could hit the gas it died. fired up got back to the house and nothing. any time i drive it it does this. i did notice that the intake hose was cracked where it attatches to the intake. anyone have any ideas? this is my daily driver. by the way it has new timing belt,plugs,wires,distributor,button,fuel filter.
