I've read all the postings I can find and haven't found solution.

1999 4runner, 260k miles...blinkers left and right just stopped working...make no noise and do not light front or rear lights. The flashers work.

The 10a fuse looks ok, I tried another...no change
I thought was the blinker stalk...that made no difference
Started to suspect the flasher relay...but it is the same relay as the hazard lights right...and those work, so I'm thinking not the problem.

Any other ideas? Thoughts I have...
Could the trailer wiring harness be grounding out somewhere?
Wire grounding out....ugh...but where?
Anything else?

 

Ended up taking to the shop and it was the blinker relay that was bad.
So apparently the blinker and hazard go through the same relay and it is possible for it to work for the hazards but not the blinkers.
It isn't too hard to get to the blinker relay, there's a video on that on youtube.
