Combo Switch/Headlight Problem
I've got a 1998 Toyota 4Runner with an intersting problem. When I
use the left turn signal, the headlights go out. Dealership wants
to replace the combo switch for $400 not including labor. Found a
website that suggested the contacts could be pitted/corroded and that
you could file down the contacts. They pulled the steering wheel
and column cover in order to work on the problem. Has anyone
pulled the steering wheel on a late model 4runner? Any special
concerns/steps concerning the airbag? Anyone else had this
problem?
