I just picked up a 97 4 runner and it has a button on the dash for a rr locker. So I pushed it and a dash light was blinking saying rear locker. My question is, is it supposed to blink while its locked? How can I tell if the locker is working right?

 

The light will blink while it is locking. It should be on solid when the diff is locked. You may need to creep ahead a little to allow the locking sleeve to slip in. If you try turning on dry pavement and the axle binds you are locked.

 

Also it will only lock in 4Lo not 4Hi unless it's been modified...
