is it oil filter?

Can someone tell me if it is normal to have oil by the recetacle of oil filter? I didchange the filter it is still have oil on it.

2006 v6 sportedition 4wd

normal---depends on how much. Could be you didnt get the filter tight enough... Is it between the filter and the plate or below that?

Yes on the 4.0 V6 you must remove this little black rubberplug under were the oil Filter screwson to the standand it drains throught the drain tube on the bottom.
