I have asked this on other forums but no one can help me.
I have a 85 4runner with a 22REC engine.
When I start the engine it takes 20 - 30 seconds for the oil pressure to start registering in my electric and mechanical gauges.
I usually have to raise the RPMs a bit also otherwise it doesnt come up for a very long time.
This is driving me crazy and I am afraid I will ruin my newly rebuilt motor.

Has anyone else had this same problem and found a solution or any aftermarket part to help?
