Default Tires Mounted At Wal-Mart = Surprisingly Good

I ordered four tires from Tire Rack and then took them over to a Wal-Mart tire center on a weekday morning.

I read lots of bad reviews about going to a Walmart tire center, but I decided to take a chance to save a few bucks.

Going on a weekday morning made all the difference. I had four guys working on the car at the same time. It was like a Nascar pit crew.

I was out of there with the new tires mounted in less than 15 minutes.

So if you want to save a few bucks, give them a try. Just don't go on a weekend or after work hours.

I had a similar experience at Wal-Mart. I was on a road trip and my 4Runner kept dying when we stopped. I needed my battery replaced. Stopped at wally world I was in and out of there in 30 minutes for only $80!

$80 isn't bad at all.

Figure $60 for the battery and $20 for installation.

I've also bought a few car batteries at Walmart over the years.
