Default Exhaust??????

I have a huge exhaust leak on the muffler of my 90' 4runner, and I'm thinking of just cutting it off and going straight pipe, however I've heard that toyotas require back pressure to run properly. Anybody got ideas or personal experience on the matter?

dont go straight pipe, toyotas do need back pressure to run properly or else you will lose tons of power, unless however you swaped the stock motor with a deisel motor, haha
hope you had it all figure out!
