I have an 06 4Runner and I want to upgrade to the HID lights. I wanted to know what my options are, meaning...can I replace the bulbs with HID bulbs or do I need to buy a kit with relays and wiring harnesses and such. I don't know too much about this area, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

My 98 Eclipse and my friend's 06 Tiburon were just straight bulb swaps. I don't know if your 4Runner is the same but most new cars are like that.

 

I think it is a straight swap...I am going to research and read up on the topic this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.
