URD Rear Sensor Simulator?
Anybody tried this?

My reason for asking is I've got a 2000 4Runner with the V6, California emissions.
I live in North Carolina. The check engine light is on and the mechanic says the catalytic converter is bad and it's $1600 to replace it with a factory unit.
What I need to do is get the check engine light off so it will pass inspection. I wouldn't consider this if I lived in California, but I'm on the right coast. I'm wondering if anybody has had any experience with this part.

Well, this forum appears to be dead, but I'll post this just in case someone is looking for an answer in the future...
The simulator worked. I've had it on about a month now with no check engine light. Got the truck inspected today with no issues. Very pleased so far.
